Dunlop Sportmaxx Race

Sport Maxx Race is designed for serious driving enthusiasts who want to drive their cars to and from racetracks to participate in track lapping days and High Performance Driver Education (HPDE) events. However, like other Streetable Track & Competition tyres, they are not intended to be driven on extremely wet roads with standing water where there is the risk of hydroplaning, or in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

Key Features and Benefits:

Asymmetric tread design provides improved handling and aquaplaning resistance and also improved performance on straight lines and around corners. The continuous centre rib increases stability and precision. The asymmetric groove arrangement enhances grip on wet and dry surfaces.

Flatter tread profile with a 4-8% bigger contact patch, depending on size and type of tyre provides a bigger contact patch delivers more stability and enhanced road feedback, allowing tyres to respond quickly and precisely with reduced heel and toe wear and superior dry grip.

Dual Silica Compound improves acceleration performance and promotes low wear and tear. It increases superb braking and acceleration performance with excellent handling on summer and autumn roads.

Maximum Flange Shield (MFS), a rim flange protection system, employs a profile of rubber that runs around the circumference of the tyre above the wheel flange providing protection to expensive alloy wheels from kerbing.

Silica-Plus Compound, a motorsport-derived tread compound that delivers high levels of grip, particularly on wet roads and in low temperatures, helps in superb braking and acceleration performance, high grip in wet and cold-weather conditions, low wear and tear.

Jointless Belt (JLB), a hybrid overlay technology that reduces circumferential deformations at high speeds providing superior high speed stability, smooth and even wear.

Multi Radius Tread (MRT) designs employ ten different radii and are therefore more precise. This results in highly effective pressure deployment on the road contact patch. The effect is smoother transitions from straight to corner, increased cornering control.
